The new print modes for the HP Latex R series printer are faster at the expense of reducing the opacity of the white ink layer.
New print modes
New print modes for white color have been created for Self-Adhesive Vinyl and Polyester Film substrates:
- Heat Sensitive White OF W60 10p 90
- Heat Sensitive White UF W60 10p 90
- Heat Sensitive White SP W60 5P 90 (only for Self-Adhesive vinyl)
The new print modes are faster at the expense of reducing the opacity of the white ink layer, and the print quality may be worse than the normal modes, as the number of passes has been decreased. The opacity of the white ink layer depends directly on the number of passes.
You can also create new print modes for white color using a small number of passes for different materials.
IMPORTANT: Be aware that print-quality issues such as banding may appear, as print modes have not been profiled for all materials and may need to be fine-tuned.
