L800W - Tracking Remaining Media Length

Our old HP design jet (Z-series) would print a small barcode on the rolls when you unload it and that would keep track of the remaining length of the substrates. Is there's a similar option for keeping track of substrates for the 800w ? Thank you.

Hi @janetcarmichael12454, Unlike the design jet Z-series, the 800W does not print a barcode on the rolls to keep track of the remaining length of the substrates. However, you can keep track of the remaining length of the substrate on the front panel by taking the following steps : After loading your media, go to the front panel >Substrate Click on the three dots on the upper right of the screen > Settings > Roll > Length Choose the length of your roll and click Done. Once this is done, the printer will keep track of the length of the roll in the front panel when clicking on the Substrate. See attached picture.
