570 printing grays too red

We just bought a very lightly used 570 which we're having trouble with. We put in all new inks, IT tanks, print heads and maintenance cartridge, plus ran a big print of all colors to flush any old ink out of the lines, but all our grays are turning out really red. It's not an ICC profile thing because even the generic SAV profile we used for the HP control print looked that way. We've tried calibrating the color sensor and drop detector. I was wondering if anyone's dealt with the same/similar issue?

this is really strange. Why is it red? Try running the machine for a while to see if this ink color goes away
