ALL HP LATEX PRINTERS ARE JUNK

HP Latex 300 Series

#1 tjaczuk6489 4 years ago

I have been in the large format printing business for 18 years. I have used Mimaki, Mutoh, Roland and HP and out of all of the printers HP Large format are the worse for multiple reasons. The firmware is always crap, there "patented" OMAS sensor is a piece of junk, and worse of all they discontinue the products! This means that any of the cleaning cartridges or printheads will be obsolete in about 10 - 12 years from when you purchase the machine. I have a Mimaki 130 SP2 from 2004 that is in perfect working condition to this day and costs nothing to maintain. Also with the Mimaki, I have full customer support to this day. HP probably can't handle to do that because of all of the call complaints they receive.

Get out of the large format business you Flukes. And for the printshop owners, save yourself the hassle and go with Mimaki or Mutoh.
