Color Calibration Issue

Hey everyone. So I am still kind of new to the world of wide format printing. I have spent most of my time around production machines. Anyway, I have an HP Latex Printer. I am trying to print on a Satin Substrate. The first print came out a lot more purple than I needed it. So I went to run a color calibration. It printed the plots with no problem. Once it starts the scanning process, the calibration cancels and the plots are all scratched and smeared. (See photo) Any suggestions?

Hi @joe.raymond8695, Color calibration is not recommended for the below substrate types. It may be possible to calibrate some of these substrates by using an external color measurement device, driven by an external RIP. ● Non-opaque substrates such as clear film and backlit substrates. ● Substrates with an uneven surface, such as perforated vinyl and punched-window substrates. ● Porous substrates that require the use of the ink collector. Substrates suitable for color calibration include even-surfaced adhesive types of vinyl (neither punched nor perforated), PVC banners, and papers. If you get an error 94:08 (Color calibration failed), you should try it again. You could try with others substrates to evaluate how color calibration performs. If the issue persists, please contact your support representative.
