Extra Margins

#1 jlimpf13960 11 months ago

Hi,

My company recently upgraded to the HP Latex 800 series printer, and I can't seem to find an option to increase the size of the top and bottom margins. This option used to be on Substrate Handling Options on the Latex 570, but that whole menu seems to be missing on the 800.

Hi @jlimpf13960,

This configuration has changed in the 700/800 series with respect to the 570 series. In the 700/800 series, you can set up the "Substrate edge Position when printing starts". This parameter only applies when substrate edges are in the printer. Once out of the curing module, is not aplicable.

There is a setting used to configure the print from pinches, since in some media it is necessary to advance something before starting the print. Here is the path to reach this setting from the Control Panel: Substate Library > Select OMS and print mode to edit > Advance settings > Substrate edge position when printing starts.

Set the value to 0 to advance the substrate edge up to the pinches. Set the value from 350 to 699 to advance the edge up to the curing module. Set the value from 700 to 750 to advance the substrate edge past the curing module.

The bottom margin configuration is not available to the user.

I hope this helps.
