HP Latex 64 Plus Cutter issue

I am getting a message on my screen - X-axis error! Overflow! How can I fix this issue?

Hi @dave13162,

When media is loaded and can't be moved to the commanded position, the error message is displayed. When the machine is switched off and no media loaded with the pinch rollers lifted, the drive drum should be able to be rotated smoothly by hand.

The error message could be displayed because of the following:

  • Autoload was disabled while using roll media. Set “Autoload” to ON: click Menu > Configuration > Autoload, select ON and confirm.

  • Mechanical obstruction of the drive drum: check the media, and check for parts jammed between grid rollers and base plate.

  • Defective encoder on the X-axis motor. Usually, the media will stall, or be fed at a high speed. Worn X-motor.

  • Defective driver on the main board. Usually, the media does not move (contact your support representative to replace the Main Board).

  • Motor connectors are not properly seated in the sockets on the main board.

  • The X-belt may be worn (contact your support representative to follow the troubleshooting).

The motor was defective and was replaced. Now I can cut vinyl, but when I went to read a barcode it scans past the barcode continues until it runs out of material.

I ran OPUS calibration. What else can I do to fix this issue?
