HP700 adding random printing to top of prints

#1 CDS_artroom_23 a year ago

Newbie here to our recently purchased HP700. I am trying to understand why it is printing additional useless information to the tops of my prints. There are two examples here. One the color fields kept repeating itself. The second image is where the Plotter Marks kept repeating the top portion of the marks. It is random. Printing from Flexi21.

Hello The color fields continued repeating one after another. The upper half of the Plotter Marks continued repeating in the second photograph. It is arbitrary. use Flexi21 to print. The load rolls may be completed in under a minute with the shaftless turntable and automated deflection adjustment. 23 m 2 per hour or more (248 ft 2 per hour) High-grade indoor quality with rapid reaction

Hi @CDS_artroom_23,

This is a known issue.

You must put the right margin to 0 as in the first picture attached.

If you want to center the job, you can move the position manually as in the second picture attached.

This issue will be fixed in future FW releases.

#2 I updated to Flexi 22 and it seemed to resolve this issue. But I will also make note of HP Daniela's suggestion.

To address the issue of random printing at the top of your prints on an HP700 printer, first ensure that the printer settings on your computer match the document type you're printing. You should also update the printer drivers by visiting the HP website to download the latest versions. Additionally, clear the print queue to eliminate any stuck or corrupt print jobs, and run a cleaning cycle on the printer to clean the nozzles and print heads. Finally, check for any mechanical issues such as misaligned paper or feed problems that could be causing the error.

If your HP700 printer is adding random printing to the top of prints, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Check Printer Settings: Make sure the printer settings, such as paper size, orientation, and margins, are correctly configured. Sometimes, incorrect settings can cause the printer to print additional content at the top of the page.

  2. Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing errors or unexpected behavior.

  3. Inspect Print Queue: Check the print queue on your computer to see if there are any print jobs stuck in the queue or if there are any print jobs with additional content that shouldn't be there. Cancel any unnecessary print jobs or clear the print queue entirely.

  4. Reset Printer: Try resetting the printer to its default settings. This can sometimes resolve issues related to incorrect settings or configurations.

  5. Clean Printer Rollers: Dust, dirt, or debris on the printer rollers can sometimes cause printing problems. Clean the printer rollers according to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure smooth operation.

  6. Check for Firmware Updates: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the printer's firmware can sometimes fix bugs or issues that cause printing errors.

  7. Test with Different Software: Try printing from a different software application or document to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to a particular document or software program.

  8. Contact Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, consider contacting HP support for further assistance. They can provide additional troubleshooting steps or arrange for service or repair if necessary.
