Images with greenish shadows

#1 wayne8445 3 years ago

Hello, We have a HP R2000 printer which by and large is a good printer. However, we are finding that in a lot of images in the shadow end of the scale we are getting a green hue. This mainly happens on grey tones. On a daily basis we are doing a Printhead check and clean. Would appreciate any comments or solutions you all might have to help with my issue. I have attached an image, the green background should be grey.

Thanks Wayne

Hi @wayne8445,

It seems that the image is corrupted. Can you repeat the RIP process to check the performance, as it looks like it is not working properly. The white and red are looking good, so this doesn't look to be related to the printer.

#1 We have similar image issues, especially in grayscale images and in browns. We usually solve this issue by turning the ICC profiles off in our print server (Onyx).

I know this isn't the way it should be solved, but it does work. Anytime we have a grayscale image or one with significant light brown, we will do a sample print to see what's going to happen and to make the adjustment.

In fact, a solution to this problem is the very reason I'm in the forum today...at least I know I'm not the only one dealing with the issue.
