Issues with the HP WallArt suite plugin

#1 kerk7212 4 years ago

We are planning to use the HP WallArt suite plugin in our WooCommerce shop and have already connected it with our HP account. But currently we have some issues:

  1. The total amount of the order is not displayed in the WooCommerce backend: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bd4emuj7tn8gtqe/Screenshot%202020-04-08%2011.48.43_v2.png?dl=0. It only shows 0,00 €.

  2. The order was created in WooCommerce but did not go through the checkout process. So the customer is not able to pay for the order via PayPal or any other payment method.

  3. We also regularly receive the following error message when starting the HP WallArt suite: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ythpylv9z44m30/Screenshot%202020-04-08%2011.51.26_v2.png?dl=0. When reloading the page the HP Applications center start but takes very long to load any content.

Do you have any idea why these issues occur and how we can fix them?

Hi Daniela,

thank you for your feedback. We checked the linked thread, but unfortunately it doesn't really help us, because it has nothing to do with our bugs.

Our main problem is that the HP WallArt Suite does not redirect to the WooCommerce checkout and therefore the customer cannot pay. We also receive regular error messages when opening the HP WallArt Suite: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ythpylv9z44m30/Screenshot%202020-04-08%2011.51.26_v2.png?dl=0

Our developers have followed the documentation and various instructions from you site, but the above mentioned bugs still occur. Unfortunately we are not getting anywhere with the integration and are therefore urgently in need of your help.

I would be very grateful if you would take a closer look at these bugs. I can also provide you with the credentials for our staging system.

Hi Daniela,

I'll gladly send you the necessary credentials. Is there a secure way I can send them to you? I would not like to post them here publicly in the forum.

#7 Hi Fabian,

Here is the answer from the WallArt team:

Apparently the issue is related to Nginx Configuration. HPWallArt wordpress plugin requires PHP variables PATH_INFO and ORIG_PATH_INFO to be set. The configuration extension (ZIP) expects the URL to be passed along as a PATH_INFO variable.

CGI and FastCGI implementations of PHP do not have PATH_INFO and ORIG_PATH_INFO available, hence proper response is not being generated for given URLs (/themes etc) To set $_SERVER PHP environment variables from NGINX, you need to add a new fastcgi_params entry along with the rest of them. Wherever you're including fastcgi_params or fastcgi.conf.

References:

https://craftcms.com/support/enable-path-info http://kbeezie.com/php-self-path-nginx/

I hope this helps to fix the issue.

Hi Daniela,

thank you for your feedback.

After talking with our hosting provider your suggested adjustments can unfortunately not be implemented there. The hosting is too limited and no customization options are offered by them. Also an upgrade to another package wouldn't help.

So I would like to know if the adjustments from your message are really necessary or if we can solve the problem with another method?

If it is not possible, could you please tell me a hosting provider where these customizations for the server are possible and with whom you have had good experience?

Best regards

Hi Daniela,

I haven't heard from you in a while. Unfortunately the HP WallArt Suite in our WooCommerce Shop still doesn't work. Therefore I would be very grateful if the developers could take a look at the problem again.

I'm looking forward to your feedback.

Hi @kerk7212,

The only additional comments from the team are these:

  • The easy solution is to switch to apache server where required configurations are available by default.
    • Nginx server would need additional configurations that need to be set by the hosting provider.

Sorry, I can't assist further with this.

Alternatively, try to get in touch with HP support.
