Latex cutter

#1 sales8501 3 years ago

The OPOS head on my cutter has started not coming down to touch the media. It no longer clicks when engaged. I noticed a spring on the assembly that looked a little crooked, would this spring not working cause this. Maybe it has come adrift.

Hi @sales8501,

It would be recommendable to try by calibrating the OPOS. To ensure that OPOS is working accurately, two calibrations are necessary: the OPOS calibration and the substrate calibration.

The OPOS calibration is the calibration of the distance between the knife tip and the sensor. The substrate calibration teaches the cutter the reflection levels of the marker color and the substrate color.

If, after making the OPOS calibration, it doesn't still work correctly, it would be recommendable to contact service as there might be needed to replace the head.

I hope this helps.
