Optimizer going out

#1 lriley13015 a year ago

When trying to print a long job on 3600 the optimizer head gives an “optimizer reseat” error. It will do this every 30-50’ in a print. When this first started we would get the error about once a day, but now it’s progressed and is impossible to get a roll of usable material. After looking at a past post in this forum I have changed the FI towers but this has not helped at all.

I actually signed up to comment,

I got the same problem at my work on one of the machines I run.

I had it fail 8 times in a row yesterday. I managed to get it working by wiping the contact points with iso alcohol. very frustrating.

the tech we had onsite at the time said the board could be going out.

#2 Replacing the board was one of the first things i tried and at first it didn't seem to be helping any, along with changing the FI towers. Then we ended up having a bigger issue with our optimizer electro valve. After changing that out and also changing out the intermediate tank it seems the issue has been better, might be worth looking at/ trying if you continue to have problems with it.
