Trimming individual pages from multipage PDF

HP Latex 300 Series

#1 Aoxomoxoa 7 years ago

I've got a new HP Latex 315 and cannot figure out how to have the printer print and trim individual pages from a multipage PDF. For instance, I send a 3 page PDF to the printer and I need it to print, trim and output 3 separate pages, like my old HP 5500 would. Instead I get one sheet containing 3 pages that have to be hand-trimmed. Any suggestions?

Hello @Aoxomoxoa

I will suggest to get the latest version of Firmware and the most updated version of you Rip.

Please let me know if by updating Firmware and Rip you get to solve your issue.

This is a brand new, fresh out of the box printer with the latest firmware (NEXUS_03_11_00.4) and SAi FlexiPRINT HP Basic Edition RIP but it can't run and trim individual pages from a multipage PDF? We had an old HP 5500 that did that quickly and easily - is there anyone else out there that has experienced the same issue? And if so is there a solution?

Hello @Aoxomoxoa

When loading a multipage PDF you can set the size and page nesting from the SAi job properties. You can unest or select the range of pages that you want.

There are also more size options in PDF Page Size.

I hope this tip helps to solve your issue.

What version RIP are you using? We have the Basic Edition and noticed that in your screen capture there are some differences, such as page range and borderless printing (under Job Properties)

Hello @Aoxomoxoa

You have the unnesting option in the basic version, if what you want to achieve is to select one page:
