Tutorial Anyone?

Hello , I currently purchased a hp 115 print and cut solution and I am struggling to get anything to work. I have purchased HTV as well as self adhesive vinyl and printer and cutter say they are not compatible. I have watched endless videos but if anyone could take the time to give me a simple run through with the printer and cutter.
