Workflow Printing process - looking to purchase

HP Latex 300 Series

#1 --- 9 years ago

I currently use Canon large format printers, but I am interested in the HP Latex 300 series to minimize laminating everything. I went to download a Windows print driver, but found none. How would my work flow change when using the HP latex printers?

Here is what I do now: Open a photoshop fileResize it to the needed sizeEdit the file, it may be a color change or adding textSelect printChoose printer, profile and media (basically in the supplied Canon MS windows driver)and send the job to the printer How would that change using the HP latex printer?

For that Latex-Printers (as for most of the outdoor-printers too), you have to use a Software-RIP: And depending on the RIP you choose to use the workflow could look different.

Hi gog,

As TG-Frank told you, in order to run any HP Latex 200 or 300 Series printer, you need a RIP. SOme of the printers like the HP Latex 310 and the HP Latex 330 are sold together with a RIP (SAi), but others, like the HP Latex 360 the RIP is not included in it.

You can have a look to the RIP - Printer compatibility in this article:
