HP Latex 54 cutter problems

#1 RatherDashing 4 years ago

I have the print and cut combo and most of the time have no problem printing on media, and then using the 54 Basic to cut lines. On occasion (right now) I have a problem that I cannot solve unless I throw away my print and hope it works on the next one. When I run the cut job, everything seems as normal as the machine scans the OPOS along the left side, until it gets to the second to last mark. It will then cut across, skipping the last OPOS mark, scan the second to last one on the left side, then go up until the media sheet drops right out of the machine. I've had this do it on short jobs, long jobs, and a multitude of different media. I have tried running a calibration before hand, and it still has the came results. What am I doing wrong?

Currently, I am working on a project where I printed out 400 stickers, and the first batch worked perfectly, but when I sent the second batch of 400 stickers, it is having this problem.

If anyone else has this problem, I solved it by uninstalling and re-installing the RIP software. I did have to throw that batch away, unfortunately.

Hello @RatherDashing

This type of issue can be related to the RIP, if you uninstall and reinstall the RIP, you might solve the problem.

I am having troubles with tracking on my 54 basic cutter. When the vinyl feeds on it goes to the left and when I back it back out it slides back to the right. And it jest gets worse and worse
