HP Latex 570 Random Head marks during prints

#1 jlimpf 2 years ago

Not entirely certain of the cause of these marks. The printer's encoding strip has been cleaned as well as the carriage, and the CK heads have been replaced. The attached shows the worst of the head marks, but occasionally it will print a single line of each Black and Cyan during a print. any help would be appreciated.

Hi @jlimpf,

The encoder strip should be cleaned when requested by the printer. The front panel displays a message when cleaning is required. For optimal printer performance, you should follow the Clean the encoder strip process as described in the User Guide.

This issue can be related to the same encoder strip as a failure of the values measured by this part. As a result of the fault, the printer prints this pattern.

If the pattern persists, it is possible that there is an electrical problem in the printer. My advice is to contact your support representative to rule out any additional problems in the encoder strip and IQ.
