700 W print modes

#1 Robotmaster 10 months ago

I have tried a preset in generic Self Adhesive Vinyl that allows for unidirectional printing, and it works well.   it doesn’t have a mode with white ink, though.  Is HP working on this?  I would like some way to print white while in UNI mode.

I also read in the manual that the 700W can print in 1200 dpi mode.  Is there a media profile that has this option?  So far I only see 300 and 600 options.

Hi @Robotmaster,

First of all, please note we do not have Unidirectional printmodes with white ink, nor we have planned to work on them.

In addition, related to How to print with the 1200 dpi, please follow these steps:

1 create a print mode 18p_100 ink

2 update the printer and rip

3 check the profile in the media manager (see image 1)

  1. Go to Media Manager – Configure device – Print capabilities – Set 1200 dpi

5 Print the job (see images 2 and 3)

I hope it helps.

Thank you! Do you have guidance for those of us using SAi Production Manager?

Hi @Robotmaster,

There are no specific guidelines, the steps are the same, you need to follow the directions from my previous comment. You need to go to the attached SAi screen and select the 1200 DPI resolution, which should appear once the printer and the RIP perform the automatic update.
