How long may the hp latex printer stand unused, and how cold may it be?

HP Latex 300 Series

Hi, can you tell me?

1) For how long (months) can the Latex printers (335) stand still, without drying out?
2) When the printer is left unused for a long time (2 months), may the temperature then go under the 15 gr. (Eg 8 gr)?
Thanks!

Hello @modk

You can left unused your printer as much time as you want but keeping in mind that carriage must be on home position in order to keep Print heads on capping position. Regarding temperature, if printer is off and you don't want to print anything it doesn't matter if this room is under 15 degrees, the problem could come if ambient temperature is under 5 degrees or less during long time because ink could froze and affect ink tubes but if temperature is higher than this you can store this printer without problems.

Once you want to turn the printer on again you need to set the up ambient temperature to optimal and keep it for 1 or 2 days, then you can turn it on. In addition keep in mind that media storage is really important as well and substrates must be at ideal temperature in the same terms as the printer if you don't want to find any image quality issues afterwards.

I hope this information helps
