HP Latex 700 vinyl won't stay flat in curing module

I have recently taken over operation of an HP 700W, primarily printing on Avery 1105 cast vinyl, however any other substrate I've attempted to use will raise up and stick to the top of the curing module, smearing the ink before it is able to cure or causing the media to jam. I have tried several different substrates and several different print modes, raising the vacuum and lowering the cure temp the max allowable values but to no effect. The only way I can print on these substrates is to advance until it can be attached to the take-up reel which will hold it down flat. I also have only found one ICC profile that will print color correct, Arlon SLX Cast wrap. Every other profile I've tried prints RGB Black (all zeroed) as navy blue. I've been having success using this profile on Avery 1105, but any other substrate as mentioned will will not lay flat in the curing module despite raising vacuum and lowering cure temp. I feel like these may be easily corrected user errors, but their factory warranty is up on this machine and I'm unsure how I can get in touch with a support person to see what I might be doing wrong.
