Re: Color consistency….

HP Latex 360 Printer

I have talked to a couple knowledgable (sometime someone answers that is pretty clueless) HP techs and they are well aware that the last firmware update made all prier media settings including the generic ones junk.

Only thing that has worked for me is to create new medias. With doing all CM on the RIP I have seen some color drifting but could bring it back in line with a re-calibration. Seems like the lc/lm head is the real culpurt. I am sure haveing only one lc/lm head makes this problem much worse.

As a test I did create one new media, calibrated it and profiled it with with the printer since the .12 firmware update. It did calibrate and profiled correctly but I haven't tested it yet to see when I needed to recalibrate whether it would bring the color back in line. I suspect that post .12 firmware onboard calibration and recalibration on a newly creted media setting will be okay. I wouldn't think HP screwed things up that bad but I would have to do a bunch of testing before I would trust onboard recalibration again.

Hi Morkel

We thank that we are having the same issue with a pink hue through all of our media. We set up media profiles from scratch and this seems to have fixed the problem. Did you hear back from HP about your issue?

Cheers
