Take up Reel Jam Canceling Print Jobs

#1 elliott.short8967 2 years ago

Hey folks,

We purchased a HP Latex 360 second-hand and so far it seems to be performing nicely. One problem we've run into a few times is a take up reel jam occurring, and instead of having an opportunity to rectify the problem and resume the printing job, it seems to be automatically cancelled.

I can't imagine that's how this is designed to work. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing, or are we doing something wrong? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @elliott.short8967,

If the substrate is severely damaged on the take-up reel, do not use the printer's cutter to cut and remove the substrate. Instead, cut the substrate manually as close as possible to the printer window, then remove the roll.

If the problem remains after removing the substrate jam, unload the take-up reel from the front panel and load it again.

If this doesn't fix the issue, please contact your support representative.
