Bug in Job Estimation on the Latex-Printers

HP Latex 360 Printer

#1 TG-Frank 8 years ago

Hi

it's me again. I have found the following irritating issue in the job estimation tool in the Embedded Webserver:

Regular jobs sent by a RIP are shown in the job list, internal prints doesn't. That's ok. The problem is that the ink consumption of that internal jobs are added to the ink consumption of the next regular job.

For example:

I print a job of around 0.88sqm on the same media, with different print modes.

Regular this job consumes 5 to 7ml depending on the print mode.

Inbetween I does a new linearization and ICC-Profile for one mode. After printing the same job again in that new print mode, the ink consumption increases up to more than 20ml.

After reprinting that job with the new profile, the ink consumption decrease back to 5.4ml.

I have seen that with a completely new machine too last week: after filling the machine with ink, doing some test prints including the profile test print, the first regular job shows a unrealistic ink consumption.

This makes the data a little bit unreliable.
