HP Basic 54 Cutter Locked Up

#1 zknoll8388 7 months ago

My HP Basic 54 Cutter (Summa) Locked up during a cut job and displayed "Please Wait." After a hard reset the printer will not not do anything upon power up, and just displays several blocks on the display.

If your HP Latex 54 Basic Plus Cutter is locked up, the first step is to check for and resolve any potential issues with the unwinding, core holders, or firmware. Ensure the unwinding is slow, the core holders are in place, and that the firmware is up-to-date. A power cycle (unplugging and replugging) can also resolve temporary glitches. https://cuyahogacountyauditor.online

#1 said My HP Basic 54 Cutter (Summa) Locked up during a cut job and displayed "Please Wait." Try unplugging it completely for a few mins, then power it back on while holding the pause or menu button (whichever yours has). That forced mine into a sort of reset mode. If that doesn't help, might need a firmware reload or call Summa support.
