HP Flexi Print & Cut

#1 monika21570 a month ago

We are trying to process a large decal with everything being cut out - to go on the side of a car. We've created the file in Illustrator and put all the kiss cuts but when we put the piece into Flexi, we cannot see our cuts - and when we print - it doesn't show the kiss cuts. When we choose the information in the flexi without the kiss cuts and try to kiss cut each letter on it's own - if we mess up on one item - then we have to start all over again and try the kiss cut settings again. There's got to be an easy way - we just have not figured it out - we've googled anything and everything to no avail. Possible help? Image attached is a low res jpg file - but everything needs to be cut out

Sounds like the cut lines from Illustrator aren’t being recognized by Flexi. Make sure your kiss cut paths in Illustrator are set to a spot color named CutContour (case-sensitive) and that it’s a stroke, not a fill. Then save the file as a PDF or EPS and import into Flexi it should pick up the cut paths automatically. Also double-check that the Production Manager has your cutter setup correctly and is set to recognize that contour path. Hope that helps
