Pinkish hue in latex built profiles

HP Latex 360 Printer

Hi guys, I wanted to bring something up. For an "unknown" reason, about 50% of the profiles I build in the L360 come out with a very pinkish tint when they are done. It might be optical brightener, not sure.

Any clue or idea how to fix this ? There's no "switch" to compensate for the brighener...

Onyx 11 rip. It seems to be ok if I create a profile in 12 passes. In 8 passes I get the pink hue.

But the creation is done from A to Z directly from the printer's control panel.

A quick update... If I do a profile (from scratch) in 8 passes, it has the pinkish hue. If I do it in 12, no hue...

Hi David_Richard,

When you create a new ICC profile using the internal spectrophotometer of the HP Latex 360, in some cases the Onyx RIP doesn't synchronise properly the new profile. After some checks this is what I will advise you to do:

  1. Disable automatic media import on ONYX.
    • On ONYX, select the printer and click on “Configure Printer”. Go to “Device” tab > “Features…” button > “Global Printer Options” > “Configure…” button
    • There, on “Import Media” section, disable the feature “Automatic – Currently Loaded Media On Printer”.
    • Press “OK” to return to ONYX main window.

2. Delete the media from ONYX

  • On ONYX, select the printer and click on “Configure Printer”. Go to “Media” tab.
  • There, select the media to be deleted and press the “Delete…” button.
  • Press “OK” to return to ONYX main window.

3. Import media manually to ONYX

  • On ONYX, select the printer and click on “Configure Printer”. Go to “Device” tab > “Features…” button > “Global Printer Options” > “Configure…” button
  • There, on “Import Media” section, click on “From printer” button. The new window will show all the media profiles available on the printer.
  • Select the needed one an press “OK” button in order to import it to ONYX.
  • Press “OK” to return to ONYX main window.
