Need Help Diagnosing Print Issue – HP Latex 365 Not Printing Yellow (Possibly Other Colors)

#1 chert 2 weeks ago

Hi everyone, I haven’t used my HP Latex 365 in over 6 months—it was powered off and unplugged during that time. I recently started it back up and noticed yellow isn’t printing, and possibly other colors as well. The ink cartridges are expired, and I plan to replace them all. I’ve already cleaned the printheads and ran some image quality checks. I also printed some test plots (see attached), and I’m getting error 98:03 about a potential print quality issue. It recommends checking the printheads via the Printhead Status Plot. Could someone help me diagnose what’s wrong? Do I need to replace any printheads—and if so, which ones? Any recommended steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Reply Yeah, if it’s been off that long and the inks are expired, chances are some printheads are clogged or dried out. Run the Printhead Status Plot and see which ones show poor/no firing. You’ll probably need to replace the yellow one at least, maybe others depending on the plot. Fresh ink might help a bit, but bad printheads usually need replacing after sitting that long.
