Discount Displays opens doors to new markets with HP Latex
Success Story
Large-format printing and display solutions provider Discount Displays has opened up about how its use of HP Latex print technology has allowed the company to expand into new areas and take on profitable work from customers across a range of markets.
Discount Displays has been using HP Latex printers to support its diversified service offering for more than 15 years. Its first venture with the technology was in 2009 with the installation of an HP L65500 printer. From here, the company went on to invest in an HP Latex 360 in August 2015 and an HP Latex R2000 Plus in 2019.
Keen to build on this, in March 2023 Discount Displays also purchased an HP Latex 800.
General Manager Giles Fletcher said HP Latex ink is also opening new doors for the business. He picked out the planet friendly nature of these inks, saying this makes them more flexible for use in a wider range of projects.
Being water-based, HP Latex inks have much less impact on the world around us than other, standard ink types. In addition, they are odorless and have low volatile organic content, meaning they can be used in work that is being installed in sensitive environments.
Never one to rest on its laurels, Giles said that Discount Displays is constantly on the lookout for the next opportunity to expand its business, with this likely to include further equipment investment.
