HP Latex R2000 investment bolsters printing capacity for FYI
Success Story
FYI, a South Yorkshire-based creative studio and print house, has revealed that its recent investment in an HP Latex R2000 printer has significantly increased its capacity and offered more flexibility to its wide range of clients.
After viewing several machines from several manufacturers, FYI picked out the HP Latex R2000 as the ideal solution to bolster its print offering, taking delivery of the new device in June 2024.
The hybrid machine – which can print onto a wide range of both rigid and flexible substrates – has a top printing speed of 86 sqm/hour in outdoor quality mode. With a 2.5m maximum printing width, the HP Latex R2000 can print in seven colors: black, cyan, light cyan, light magenta, magenta, white, and yellow.
“We felt the HP Latex R2000 gave us the best value for the budget we had,” FYI Director Tom Buxey said. “We loved the hybrid setup and the ease of switching between rigid and roll substrates.
“We also really liked the fact there is no wastage of ink that ends up in landfill from purging heads, and that all consumables are sent back to HP for recycling free of charge.”
“The possibility of installing an additional HP Latex R2000 alongside our current machine is something we are considering as it would ensure we have the best flexibility in terms of moving jobs between machines, as appropriate,” Tom said. “We would be able to continually print work for our range of clients with no downtime.”
