HP Latex 360 Fumes

HP Latex 360 Printer

#1 kabash 7 years ago

Hi, I know the latex 360 is sold as a safe machine with no ventilation, which I accept, but when pvc vinyl and pvc banner etc. is printed on and heated to say 90 degrees, does it not give off harmful fumes. Appreciate the commments : )

Thanks for the reply, but this is more aimed at the inks rather than the material. I am just wondering if HP take into account what are safe levels of heating PVC, which I am not sure of. In unventilated rooms are the fumes coming off the material harmful at that curing temperature?.

#4 said 1 kabash I understand this is an old thread, but I can't agree with #1 kabash more. I love my HP Latex printer, but I imagine the odours it produces can be very harmful. When these materials are heated to such a high degree they emit harmful odours. I have contacted an HVAC specialist to come analyze my shop space and discuss possible options for ventilation and air exchange. I hope I can aid others with my future results. Does anyone else have experience with ventilation setups where their HP Latex printer is running?

#5 I have a duct fan that replaces the air 5 times per hour. Definitely you need something for replacing air. And also a fan that brings fresh air inside. Smell of pvc isn't healthy for sure

#6 I am in the market for large format printer, especially Hp Latex 115 ( on budget ). Having looking at these. I am little skeptical. Can someone please advise me? I will be mostly printing vinyl stickers banners, and heat transfer vinyl.

Hi - you mean the mist produced by the printer or with the pvc running through the printer?

I have the same problem. Is there a solution to use air purifier, for example xioami air purifier pro H(equiped with activated charcoal filter+hepa filter). Activated charcoal can filter Formaldehit and aldehit.
