cutter problem - Onyx can't read the cut marks correctly

Hi, Trying to find some help here. Any ideas are highly appreciated! I have HP 315 print and cut solution and been using Flexi to cut and everything is ok. Recently I am trying to cut using Onyx but having issues. I also tried VinylMaster and it has the similar issue. This makes me believe the issue is not with the software but with the cutter. I wonder if the cutter is hard coded to work only with Flexi, which is bundled with the purchase of the machines. The issue is that when it was cutting, the cutter read the right side of the marks. Then it went across to the left side and read the first mark. After that, the cutter doesn't go down the line to read, instead it went further to the left trying to read beyond the substrate. I attached a picture showing the cutter position - the knife goes over to the left of the substrate. Thanks for your attention and looking forward to any help.

#2 thanks for your comments. However not only Oynx but also VinylMaster has the similar problem. And it makes wonder if the cutter is programed to work only with Flexi.
