HP R1000 won't connect

#1 frank13254 2 months ago

Hi there,

I tried updating the IPS and firmware and when I did, the printer said they were incompatible. So I uninstalled and installed a previous version. Now the printer will boot up and not connect like it normally did.

I tried the following: 1 - turn off the power completely from the wall, wait 1 minute and turn back on 2 - disconnected and reconnected the internet cable 3 - uninstalled and reinstalled the IPS/firmware

I can not get it to do anything tried start in normal mode or any of the other modes I get a "Printer is unable to start. Try again later"

Hi @frank13254,

We would recommend rebooting the IPS PC. It looks like a communication issue between the IPS and the printer. I hope it helps.

Hi, It seems that your printer is not connecting properly after you updated and then downgraded the IPS and firmware. You have already tried some basic troubleshooting steps like My Health Online turning off the power, reconnecting the internet cable, and reinstalling the IPS/firmware, but the printer is still not responding.

You may want to try resetting the printer to its default settings, as this can sometimes help resolve issues caused by software updates. To do this, check the printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. This will erase all of the printer's settings and return it to its original state.

If resetting the printer does not solve the issue, you may need to contact HP customer support for further assistance. They may be able to help you diagnose the problem and provide guidance on how to fix it.
